Description
The Insane “The Whole World Is Going Insane” LP
The early ’80s punk band from Wigan get the reissue treatment via the Californian label Puke N Vomit. On this occasion they have picked up one of the better UK82 outfits, as The Insane were tighter and a little more switched-on than many of their of their peers/label mates. Not that the band were groundbreakingly original – they fit the formula with a snug tightness – but the fact that two members went on to play in Flux Of Pink Indians provides a good indication that they were a band that was also slightly apart from the street-punk pack. Drummer Dave ‘Bambi’ Ellesmere also went to bang the D-beat in Discharge, and countless bands ever since . This LP is a collection of all their studio works:- the classic singles on the Riot City and No Future labels, along with demos, and comp appearances.
