Description
Ink & Dagger – “The Fine Art Of Original Sin” LP
The debut album of 1998 by the highly influential vampire/horror themed hardcore band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
The legacy of Ink & Dagger burnt briefly but very brightly between the years of 1996 to 1999. I remember catching them in London – I don’t remember there being a large crowd of people in the room of the Red Eye, but I do remember being completely blown away by their super-tight dual-guitar onslaught of gothic-metal-hardcore. A unique band. And hugely influential (Converge, Thursday, At The Drive In etc.) “A psychotic blend of punk, hardcore, electronica, and full-throttled rock ‘n’ roll, The Fine Art Of Original Sin showcased Ink & Dagger at their absolute peak”. This nine track album, follow-up to 1997’s Drive This Seven Inch Wooden Stake Through My Philadelphia Heart, was originally released by Initial Records, faithfully reproduced (and remastered) by Trust Records, 2025.
