IMPLODERS – “Targeted For Termination” LP

High tension punk rock energy from Toronto, Imploders return with their second full-length album, twelve tracks of short, fast, old school hardcore that is bright, brash and full-on frantic. What is going on with Canada these days? Fuckety fuck fuck fuck. Mad times, fuckos… Imploders fit neatly amongst Bootlicker, Plasticheads, Chain Whip, Béton Armé, Puffer, Cult Crime and countless other North American modern-punk brethren. They probably share membership with some of those aforementioned bands, too. But they also distinguish themselves by their judicious selection of old time classic influences: The Subhumans, Zero Boys, Circle jerks, Angry Samoans, Flag Of Democracy, and Dead Kennedys – specifically In God We Trust, natch. Whenever possible, I blame society for this kind of delinquent madness.
