Iconoclasts – “Demo 1983″ 7”
From Liverpool and active in the first half of the 1980s, this is their demo available on vinyl (or any format for that matter) for the first time. The strong, up-front female vocals leads to an obvious comparison to Vice Squad, but this is ideal for all fans of the Riot City and Mortarhate Records style of UK street/protest punk (Action Pact, Lost Cherees, Rubella Ballet etc.). I think I’m correct in saying at least one member of Iconoclasts went on to play in Mere Dead Men.
