A quartet orginating from Los Angeles, formed by members of Afrobeat outfit Antibalas, with their debut album of 2017. An ingenious psychedelic journey, born from the concept of “What if Black Sabbath played afrobeat?” The end result is a heavy metal template put to Fela Kuti grooves, with fuzzed-out, desert-rock riffing, combined with the acid-funk wildness of Funkadelic.
