Hard Stance – “Foundation: The Discography” LP
If I remember right, a Hard Stance CD came out on Conversion records in the mid-1990s. This vinyl version goes a step further than that – including both the 7″s (Face Reality released by Workshed in ’88, and the 7″ released in ’94 by Conversion, but that was recorded in ’89) – and then also including the End The Hate demo of ’88. Making this the first complete discography. Featuring future members of Inside Out, Chain Of Strength, Statue and Farside (including a young Zack Del La Rocha on guitar), Hard Stance were a crucial chapter in the West Coast straight edge scene of the late 80’s. Taking the distinct Socal sound of Uniform Choice, Insted and No For An Answer to fresh, new levels of intensity.
