A photography collection documenting the 1979 DC punk scene by a then intern for the Washington Post, and later Pulitzer prize-winning photojournalist, Lucian Perkins. With accompanying text by Alec Mackaye (Untouchables, Faith, Hammered Hulls etc.), recounting his teenage perspective, with hindsight, on an exploding underground movement whose impact still reverberates around the world, forty years later. Also includes an essay from Rollins.
