Following in the wake of devastation that was the arrival of their debut full-length of 2019, The Grand Descent, this 3 track mini LP is Fuming Mouth stepping-up a level. Again, recorded by Kurt Ballou at his GodCity studios, so the combined mad-beats and sledgehammer-riffing still sounds bone-smashingly heavy. Scandinvia is an influence: I’m thinking early Entombed and Mushuggah in particular. Now signed to Nuclear Blast, which is kind of dissapointing, but also inevitable as they are defintely the rising dark stars of extreme metal.
