This fits in alongside a range of other mentalist noise heads from the North of England: Frisk don’t sound like an exact replica of Perespex Flesh, or Beta Blockers, or Denim And Leather, but they would be equal billing-fellows. Seething with crazed, violent intent. And proper dangerous. So much so, it almost veers into Wolf Eyes white-noise territory; whilest the angst and rage rachets it up to the level of early Swans. Genuinely frightening, and nerve shreddingly exciting. Good unclean fun.
