Faze – “Big Upsetter” LP
Wild hardcore energy from Montreal, Canada. Tight, shape-shifting movements, pulled-off at high speed while taking elements of psych and Japanese hardcore combined with newer hardcore bands like S.H.I.T. and Bib. The bassist and drummer are united into an especially formidable force of unnatural nature. Meanwhile the guitarist loses themselves in psychedelic waves of full-blown distortion. The vocalist is some way down a cavernous tunnel. You will be familiar with where Faze are located sound-wise, but n one else has taken it to this level before. Excellent.
