The first False Prophets album, released in 1986 by Alternative Tentacles, is something of an overlooked classic. And live, wow, what a revelation – as a teeneager I caught them in Bristol, and we had to jump back in a car a few days later to travel to Lemmington Spa to watch them a second time, because that’s how amazing they were. Anyone he witnessed them on that tour will want to read this book.
