Description

The Ex – “Disturbing Domestic Peace” LP (and 7″)

One of the world’s finest, and longest-serving, punk rock institutions. Dutch anarchist/squater band The Ex, from the late 70’s onwards, have never ceased to create thoughtful, leftfield, rhythm-heavy, agitational music. Releasing twenty albums to date. Beginning with this album, “Disturbing Domestic Peace”, back in 1980. Containing a defiant collection of post-punk detonations, (probably influenced, like the best of ’em, by Wire, Slits and Gang Of Four); with themes and styles that were strongly aligned to the UK’s anarcho punk movement of the same time (Crass, Poison Girls, Zounds). This reissue is true to the original, and comes with the 20-page booklet and the bonus “Live Skive” 7″ (four live songs that were added to make the original package into a full-length release).
