Endpoint “Catharsis: Deluxe Edition” LP
A long overdue reissue of a classic album from the Louisville, Kentucky hardcore band who emerged from the straight edge scene of the late 1980’s. Catharsis was their third full-length, and their first for Doghouse Records who originally released the ten track album in 1992 (a label that was on a significant roll at this point in time, also releasing albums by Split Lip and Fabric around the same time). This was the recording that marked the band’s progression from a simple, high energy hardcore template, towards melody and a varied pace, following in the wake of the Revolution Summer/Fugazi era of Washington DC punk, from where Endpoint took considerable inspiration. Out of print for 30 years, Catharsis has been remastered and now includes their Idiots 7″ (a collection of cover versions – Rites Of Spring, Misfits – released in 1992) and the two tracks from the 1991 split 7″ shared with Sunspring. Packaged in a new gatefold jacket including many never-before-seen photos, new liner notes, and more.
