Description
Endpoint “After Taste: Deluxe Edition” LP
A reissue of Louisville, Kentucky hardcore band’s third album, originally released by Doghouse Records in 1993. This was a year of peak-era straight edge hardcore, when young bands were flexing their musical muscle, incorporating not just the power and technical virtuosity of metallic guitar riffing; but also the mid paced complexity of post hardcore. Quicksand and Fugazi had shown the way, and it was bands like Endpoint – along with label mates/peers such as Split Lip, Fabric, Outspoken, Face Value, Threadbare, Falling Forward, Worlds Collide, etc. – that picked up the baton to then thrust themselves into new directions and new recordings such as this album. Probably the pinnacle of this band’s impressive legacy. Heights of melodic expression, with smart lyrics that didn’t shy away from the hard stuff, backed by the satisfying crunch of a well judged riff.
Fully remixed and remastered, this expanded/deluxe reissue also includes the five tracks from their final 10″ – aptly called The Last Record – released by Doghouse in 1995.
