DJ Shadow – “Endtroducing…” Double LP

From those smokey Mo’ Wax days back in the mid 90s, one of the pinnacle achievements of turntable sampling and recycling. Hip hop influenced instrumentals composed almost entirely of samples from vinyl records – aural montages, dug-up from used-record store bins, cut’n pasted, layered, and re-imagined by crazy-inventive Californian music producer Josh Davi (aka DJ Shadow). I don’t want to go down the nostalgia hole, but, holy-come-down, they were really were good times. Mid 90’s was all about peak-era emo, early-years screamo, and trip hop. The alternative was landfill Brit Pop, and cartoon pop-punk (ooh, you do ska too? Brilliant).
