Division Of Mind “Exoterror” LP
Heavy hardcore from the bowels of Richmond, Virginia, that channels ’90s metalcore like Integrity and All Out War via the shared values of modern day Triple-B bands. I notice this album has scored a number of positive hit-ups on people’s mid-year ‘best of’ lists, had me thinking Division Of Mind must have made some improvements to the formula debuted on the slightly average previous self-titled album from several years ago (I dunno, am I being unfair?). Turns out, yeah, the attention has been warranted, and the time off since the last release has indeed paid off, and in terms of modern heavy hardcore Division Of Mind have stepped-up to first division. Features some thrilling dark malevolence, kinda’ lives up to the record’s name.
