LiFE / Destruct – “To Stop The Conflict” split LP
Tokyo and Richmond, Virginia collide in an ear-bashing oblivion of noise. On Stop The Conflict split album there are two variations on the theme of d-beat noise raging against the violence that is tearing our world apart. LiFE, one of the last standing bands from this original scene in Japan, their signature sound is a frantic version of crust core, dark, metallic and desperate in its intensity. Destruct are one of the best American hardcore punk bands out there playing in this UK style of 80s/90’s hardcore, banging the out d-beat with maximum enthusiasm, much like E.N.T. and Doom before them. This follows up their previous two albums with a satisfying progression, increasingly fast and intense, without any great deviation from the previous template.
