Deef – “Nou” LP
Raw hardcore of the early 1980’s from Sapporo, Japan. Deef were remarkable in that they preceded Confuse and Gai. Compared to their hardcore contemporaries from around the globe in ‘81-’82, few stand out as truly raw hardcore punk. An impressive combination of a Chaos UK-style enthusiasm for distorted noise, and the wild, ferocious energy of Husker Du circa Land Speed Record. Remastered from the original master tapes, the Nou LP includes their first cassette, comp tracks (from the Nouten Rockers), a completely unreleased studio EP session, and a furious live set.
