Crocodile God – “Thirteen” LP
The very welcome return of Liverpool’s finest proponents of pop flavoured punk. A trio that first emerged in the 90’s wave of Lookout/Fat Wreck influenced bands, and, twenty years later – still fast, still ear-snaggingly catchy – here’s their fourth full-length LP. While comparisons to Dillinger Four and The Dickies are still relevant, on the whole the current Croc God are a lot less American sounding than before (not a day, thankfully, to mention the dreaded green word); their sound comes from a more home-turf tradition of Snuff, The Buzzcocks and early Senseless Things. Perfect summertime album.
