Crass – “Best Before 1984” Singles Compilation Double LP
Best Before 1984 is a compilation of singles and other tracks, originally released in 1986, as a form of closure on the five years of creative output by the multi-media collective known as Crass. This 2019 repress – part of the “as it was in the beginning” remastered series – is the same double album, in a gatefold sleeve, an identical reproduction of the ’86 version. Compiling together all the numerous Crass 7″s that were released from 1979 to 1984: from Reality Asylum to You’re Already Dead; and everything in-between: Sheep Farming In The Falklands, Nagasaki Nightmare, Bloody Revolutions etc. Essentially, a collection of some of their most celebrated ‘best-of’ moments. Also including sound clips, interviews and a live track from their final performance in July 1984.
