Cosmic Joke – “Forced Perspective” 12″ EP
Hardcore with a Californian skate punk flair. Direct from the San Fernando Valley of Southern California, Cosmic Joke is back with a new EP. Immediately becoming quite the big deal over in the US, which comes as no surprise, surely the time is right for a resurgence of this kind of melody-driven punk? And , you know, it’s on Triple B, so this is by no means recycled 90’s-era pop-punk, but instead, it is hardcore by way of an ever-so-slight No Use For A Name/Bad Religion/Good Riddance influence. The EP consists of four original tracks and one cover. As an added bonus, the first-pressing is B-sided with five additional tracks from the “Welcome To L.A.” benefit EP, released in February, 2025 – a collection of covers reworking various punk and hardcore tracks (X, Agent Orange, Bad Religion, Adolescents), featuring members of Twitching Tongues, Drain, Fleshwater.
