Corrosion of Conformity – “Blind” double LP

The third album by the titans of late 80’s American hardcore, originally released in 1991 via Relativity Records, and now reissued as a 30th anniversary edition on an extended double album. Their first release without Mike Dean on bass; and the first to feature rhythm guitarist Pepper Keenan, as well as their only recording with Karl Agell on vocals (who had previously sung in Seizure – their All Hail The Fucking System is a pretty tasty hardcore 7″). Like most folk outside of mainstream metal-rock music, my interest in C.O.C. was lost a couple of years after 1987’s Technocrazy 12″. However, Enter The Sandman/arena rock aspirations aside, on this ‘breakthrough’ album of ’91 the late great Reed Mullin still sounds on top form (one of the best drummers of his generation); while Woody Weatherman will always be a grand master when it comes to dropping a Sabbath influenced power-riff. Furthermore, to spark the interest, this extended version includes a collection of songs from a 1991 demo, plus a few songs from a 1988 demo(!!).
