Chain Cult “Harm Reduction” LP
Back with a new full-length, their second, and five years since Shallow Grave. The Athens punks bring more angst and grit to their anthemic, 80’s inflected melodies. Sounding more confident and refined than their previous album and 12″/7″ EPs, they have put in the hard work and now is the time for us all to enjoy the rewards. Referenced influences are The Chameleons and The Sound. But there is an important distinction to be made that Chain Cult are on the side of a hard-edged aggression that makes them more punk than they are post-punk.
