Description
Broken Hearts Are Blue – “Dark Whimsy and Soft Surrealism” Double LP
Remembered as something of an archetypal midwestern emo band in the mid-to-late 90’s – ex members of Vine, Current, and Ordination of Aaron – who released an album on the excellent Caulfield label. Denver’s Broken Hearts Are Blue return with their first record since 1997’s The Truth About Love. Sixteen songs culled from numerous sessions during lockdown, with plenty of time, unlike back in the day, to fine-tune and studio-tweak all the different recordings. The double LP set comes in a beautiful gatefold cover and features printed lyric sleeves and “translucent tapestry pink and tussock gold vinyl”.
