What is it with Bolt Thrower’s cover art!? A weird mix of Battle comics and Andy Mcnab novels… If it wasn’t for their roots in the hardcore punk scene and the femine presence of Jo Bench on bass guitar, it would be easy on first glance to dismiss them as just another bunch of boys-own heavy metal fantasists. But the thing about Bolt Thrower is that thankfully there is always more to them than meets the eye. This is a their sixth album. 9 tracks, slightly slower than previous albums. Recorded at Chapel Studios, Lincoln, in December 1997 to January 1998, and released on Metal Blade Records in 1998. Repressed on snow white vinyl, in a gatefold sleeve, and including a giant poster of the sleeve art.
