Bloodguilt – Self-titled 12″ EP
A debut recording by this new California hardcore band featuring members who have spent time playing in bands such as Taken, Stavesacre, Focused, Project 86, and Starflyer 59. Sounds like an experienced collective of musicians returning to their roots – Unbroken and Strife get a mention – and further fueled by some impassioned aggression. Therefore, I’d recommend this to anyone who digs Paint It Black, Hope Conspiracy, Life Force, and Time X Heist (and actually, as great as they are, I think Bloodguilt have the edge over those bands). Hey, put it this way, there’s good reason why this has been released by New Age Records. Self-recorded with a production that is spot on, and then mixed by Beau Burchell (Saosin), this self-titled EP contains five tracks, and the vinyl is served up on a one sided vinyl with a silkscreened B-side.
