Description
Bitter Branches “Let’s Give The Land Back To The Animals” LP
The Philadelphia-based post-hardcore band’s second full-length album, produced by J. Robbins (Jawbox, Burning Airlines). An intense post-hardcore band that features vocalist Tim Singer of Deadguy, Kiss It Goodbye, No Escape; drummer Jeff Tirabassi of Walleye (Jade Tree Records); guitarists Matt Ryan of Cavalry (Council Records) and Kevin Sommerville of Lighten Up!; and bassist/vocalist Dan Yemin of Paint It Black, Kid Dynamite, Lifetime. By any standard of veteran punk musicians, this is an impressive roll call. United to play dark, moody, introspective alt-noise rock that is angular, heavy and tense as fuck. Bitter Branches weren’t this good before, surely? Time to revisit the previous LP and 12″. This is a total banger. Old dudes who want to re-live their Jesus Lizard/Black Flag past should think again, ’cause you ain’t gonna’ be anywhere near as good as this.
