Bent Blue “So Much Seething” LP
Their first full length, following on from 2022’s Where Do Ripples Go? 12″, and also their debut release for Indecision Records. This San Diego band have successfully nailed an individual version of modern melodic hardcore, and anyone who responds well to smart, passionate lyrical content delivered with both aggressive energy and a strong, tuneful hook definitely need to get on board with this record. By which I mean, anyone who digs Paint It Black, Have Heart, and (going further back in time) Good Riddance, and (as recent as) Planet On A Chain. There are many traces of heritage-hardcore on this album, different variations on each song; but none of it in any overtly obvious way – giving it an unusually board appeal. Watch out for this band.
