Description

Behind Closed Doors – “Exit Lines: The Brief History Of Behind Closed Doors” LP

Credit to Temporary Residence for unearthing such an overlooked gem from the mid-to-late 90s – or at least, overlooked by myself, and as Behind Closed Doors were originally on the prestigeous Vermin Scum Records, I can’t for the life of me understand how I failed to find, love and cherish this one back in the day. As the title suggest, this reissue is in recognition of a short lived band, who played notoriously unhinged shows in the DC/Baltimore region from 1996 to 1998. Right up my street, they mixed Born Against and Moss Icon with the kind of West Coast proto-screamo that was best represented by Swing Kids and Clikatat Ikatowi. Just three tracks were recorded, remastered here from the original studio master tapes, on limited edition vinyl that features a custom laser etching of the lyrics direct onto the vinyl.
