The third studio album by the New York rappers, as part of their ongoing transition from third-rate hardcore, to second-rate hip-hop, to first-rate alt-pop. Released in 1992, three years since the second studio album Paul’s Boutique. Full of cross-pollination from their combined pop-culture obsessions, but less sample-heavy than the previous record, and featuring – for the first time since their early EPs – instrumental contributions from all three members.
