Description
Bauhaus – “The Bela Session” LP
Undead, once again. Northampton’s experimental art punks went into a studio (in January 1979) for the first time, and came out with a genre defining, fiendishly atmospheric masterpiece. How a post punk band heavily influenced by Bowie and dub reggae inadvertently gave the world ‘goth’ is still something of an enigma.
To mark the 4o year anniversary of the original release on Walthomstow’s Small Wonder Records this is the first and only official reissue of “Bela Lugosi’s Dead” on vinyl, and including, also for the first time, all 5 tracks from the recording session (three of which are previously unreleased).
