I guess we’re all waiting for a band to step up and fill the void vacated by Power Trip. And everytime time a band gives it a go, I have to say, on the whole I enjoy the experience – crunchy metalic riffs with that distinct groove, lead by punk attitude and optional long hair. Although I have to admit, Drain, promoting energy drinks, nearly blew it for me. Whereas, Bad World are on Convulse Records, so, those dubious values won’t apply here (no gatekeeping disrespect meant to Drain, but, corporate sponsorship is fucking lame). Following on from the fantastic EP from Yambag this is another dead cert from the Convulse crew. And if this isn’t the start of something big for Bad World – I’ll be amazed. Limited to 500 (three different variations), so, be smart, don’t dilly-dally.
