Description
Alienator “Brutal Occupation” 7″
Four more new songs from Portland Oregon’s hardcore juggernauts. Following close after their Meat Locker 12″ of 2025 which was one of my favourite modern hardcore punk platters of that year, although, not a faultless release, the production wasn’t great, and a few of the songs lacked a strong identity. So I’m truly glad to report that this EP steps-up their game – the studio sound has a little more finesse and clarity; while the songs have a weightier presence with memorable chorus, beefed-up by some cool NYHC style group-shouts. The snarly rage of early Poison Idea still provides the foundation; topped by Power Trip riffing, same as before – just, all of it sounding even better. It’s intense, angry as fuck, catchy when need be, and rounded off with great sleeve art – a perfect hardcore punk release for 2026.
